News: October 2012

Stefano Cossi, former technical director at Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell, has been appointed new head brewer at the William Worthington brewery.

The brewery, based within the National Brewery Centre at Burton-on-Trent, produces beers from the Bass archives, including recreations of famous brands such as Worthington E. It is also home of Worthington's White Shield, although the bottled version is now produced within the neighbouring Molson Coors brewery.

Italian Cossi – All-Party Parliamentary Beer Club Brewer of the Year in 2010 – replaces brewer Jim Appelbee, who left William Worthington earlier this year.
