St Austell Releases Jubilee Champagne BeerNews: March 2012 To mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Cornish brewery St Austell has produced a limited-edition strong IPA that has undergone secondary fermentation in Champagne bottles. Royal Diamond Imperial IPA (9%) has been maturing in bottle at the Camel Valley Vineyards in north Cornwall and pours with a mousse-like foam. The brewers advise serving it chilled in Champagne flutes. Only 1,000 bottles have been released, with the retail price set at £12. Online sales will commence in May. |
