CAMRA Names Club of the Year
News: March 2012
The Questors Grapevine Club in West London has been judged national Club of the Year by the Campaign for Real Ale. The volunteer-run club, situated inside The Questors Theatre in Ealing, was founded in 1959. Its commitment to serving beers brewed locally was cited as one of the reasons for its success in the competition, with beers from breweries such as Windsor & Eton, Twickenham and Rebellion, as well as Fuller’s who have helped with the cellarmanship, regularly featured. The three runner-up clubs this year are: Colliton Club in Dorchester, Dorset; Rushden Historical Transport Society in Rushden, Northamptonshire; and Ravenswood Club (Royal British Legion) in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. |
