Stella, Bud and Beck’s Get Weaker
News: January 2012
Anheuser-Busch InBev has announced that the strength of its major lager brands in the UK will be reduced from the end of January. Stella Artois, Budweiser and Beck’s will all fall to 4.8% from the current 5% ABV, in a move that is likely to save the company millions of pounds in beer duty. The company states that the decision has been taken 'in line with evolving UK beer category trends'. Draught Budweiser, at 4.3%, remains unchanged. The strength of the brands will not be altered outside the UK. |
