Fuller’s and Marble Collaborate
News: January 2012
The head brewers of Fuller’s in London and Marble in Manchester have come together to create a new strong ale. Old Manchester Ale features Challenger hops and is described as dark amber in colour with a strong fruity character. After three months’ maturation in cask on dry hops, it is said to have a surprisingly smooth taste for such a strong beer (7.3%). The bottle-conditioned beer was devised by James Campbell of Marble and Fuller’s John Keeling, whose home town is Manchester. It was brewed at Marble. The 750-ml bottles retail in Fuller’s brewery shop at £8.25. |
