Rupert Thompson is the new chairman of Surrey brewery Hogs Back.

The former chief executive of Refresh UK, one-time owners of Wychwood Brewery, bought into the Tongham-based company just before Christmas, acquiring the interest of previous director Tony Stanton-Precious.

Thompson is also currently a non-executive director of Daniel Thwaites and non-executive chairman of The Beer Academy. Hogs Back, founded in 1992, is well known for beers such as TEA, BSA and OTT.
