Bristol brewery Bath Ales has acquired new premises and is planning to relocate its brewing operations over the coming 18 months.

The new site stands less than a mile away from the company’s current base at Warmley, but, at 38,000 square feet, is four times the size of the present location.

The transport and logistics sections of the business have already transferred but brewing will not move over until new equipment is installed. The idea is to double output over the next two years, and see a four-fold increase within five years.

The company’s continued expansion means that Bath Ales now employs around 60 staff members, with another 110 jobs provided by the seven pubs in the Bath estate.
