Suffolk brewery St Peter’s has launched a new beer in conjunction with England’s first registered whisky distillery for more than 100 years.

The English Whisky Co. is based in Norfolk and St Peter’s has produced The Saints Whisky Beer using the same peated malt used in the company’s product.

Also, once the beer has been fermented, and prior to bottling, some of the English Whisky Co.’s Chapter 9 single malt whisky is added to the brew.

The 4.8% ABV beer goes on sale in Waitrose from the end of October.
