Tetley’s Brewery in Leeds has closed. Workers left the premises for the last time on Friday, 17 June, bringing to an end 189 years of brewing heritage.

Some staff will remain at the site in a sales capacity but more than a hundred employees have left the brewery since its closure was announced by owner Carlsberg UK three years ago.

Cask Tetley Bitter is now brewed under contact at Banks’s in Wolverhampton, while the keg version is produced at the Molson Coors brewery in Tadcaster.
