New figures released by the Brewers Association (BA) reveal that craft beer production in the USA has expanded once again.

Sales of craft beer grew by 11% in volume and 12% in value in 2010, resulting in more than a million extra US barrels of beer being produced. The number of breweries is also up, with 1,759 in operation, the biggest number since 1900.

The BA data also shows that 3% of craft beer output is now in cans.
