Highwood Brewery in Lincolnshire has gone into liquidation and ceased trading, with debts of around £2 million.

The closure of the brewery in Melton Ross, whose beers were sold under the Tom Wood name, results in the loss of 50 jobs. The site and equipment are now up for sale.

Highwood was founded in 1995 and trebled its capacity in 2001. The company also ran a beer wholesale and distribution service.
