Commercial brewing at Moorhouse’s new brewhouse commenced in November, with more than 1,600 barrels of beers such as Premier Bitter and Pride of Pendle produced during the first four weeks.

The new equipment, housed on land immediately behind the old Moorhouse’s brewery in Burnley, cost £1.8 million and has trebled the company’s capacity.

The last brew in the former, 19th-century premises took place on 28 October.
