Acorn Celebrates US Hops with New IPAs
News: December 2010
Acorn Brewery is to extend its selection of monthly IPAs with a range of US-hopped beers. The Barnsley company began brewing an IPA a month four years ago, using hops from the UK in 2007, the USA in 2008, Europe in 2009 and New Zealand in 2010. Now the brewers have selected another batch of US hops for 2011. Apollo IPA is the January brew, with Bravo in February and Columbus in March. The range continues until September. The seven-year-old business is also expanding again, with the commissioning of new 50-barrel fermentation equipment this month, having increased capacity in 2007 with the installation of a 100-barrel brewery. |
