Thornbridge Brewery has opened its latest acquisition, an Enterprise Inns pub in west Sheffield.

The completely refurbished Greystones, formerly known as The Highcliffe, differs from other Enterprise Inns outlets in being free of beer tie, so that Thornbridge can stock its own beers.

The arrangement is the result of negotiations between the Derbyshire brewery and the national pub company and follows a declaration earlier this year by Enterprise that it was willing to discuss free-of-tie leases with small brewers looking to establish their own estates.
