Tributes have been paid to Peter Arkell who passed away on Friday, 27 August.

The former chairman of Arkell’s Brewery in Swindon died peacefully at his home near Cirencester, aged 87.

Arkell was a veteran of World War II, during which he flew Lysander aircraft behind enemy lines in France and Burma. He joined the family brewery in 1954 and worked there for 50 years.
