News: August 2010The Fuller’s Master Cellarman Award for 2010 has been presented to The Star at Belgravia, London.
The brewery’s top prize for beer service is based on regular inspections by the company’s beer quality team. Only pubs achieving a score of 95% and above on each of four visits during the year reaches the final of the contest and this year’s 11 finalists all scored a maximum 100% every time.
The award was presented to licensees Jason and Karen Tinkling at the Chiswick brewery by head brewer John Keeling (pictured on the left) and Fuller’s Beer Company managing director John Roberts (on the right).
It is the latest achievement for a pub that has featured in every edition of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, a record stretching back 37 years.
Runner-up in the Fuller’s competition was Bryan Walsh of The Harpenden Arms, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, with Tom Hayden of The Partridge, Bromley, Kent in third.
