News: June 2010

Following the introduction of Stella Artois 4%, AB InBev has now launched Stella Black into the UK.

Contrary to its name, however, the beer is a golden lager, not a black beer. Its point of sale material carries the strapline 'matured for longer'. The beer is brewed in Belgium to an ABV of 4.9% and will have limited distribution, to ‘selected on-trade locations’.

This latest extension to the Stella Artois brand follows unsuccessful launches for Artois Bock and the oak-aged Eiken Artois in recent years. Both brands have now been discontinued.
