The JD Wetherspoon pub group has announced the opening of 12 new pubs in July.

The pubs are located in Aylesbury, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cambridge, Coventry, Newbury, Nottingham, Otley, Petersfield, Sheffield, Sherwood and Whittlesey, and represent an investment by the company of more than £12.5 million.

Some 550 new or part-time joins will be created by the openings.
