West Country Beer for the Boys

News: April 2010

The latest contributors to the ‘Beer for the Boys’ scheme are the craft brewers of South-West England.

The scheme seeks to make available beer for servicemen and women returning from duty in Afghanistan. No alcohol is allowed to the forces while in the country, so bottles are prepared for them to enjoy when in transit home in Cyprus or back in the UK.

Forty-four cases of beer have been shipped to home-coming airbase RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire by Tucker’s Maltings on behalf of brewers in the South West.
