Record Profits for Wetherspoon

Pub group JD Wetherspoon has announced record first-half profits despite the economic downturn.
For the six months under review, turnover rose by 4.1% to £488.1 million and profits before tax climbed 41.4% to £36.2 million.
The group currently operates 746 pubs in the UK.
