UK Local Brewing Industry Weathers Economic Storm
News: February 2010
A report published by SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) declares that the local brewing industry in the UK has performed well in the past year, despite the sharp economic downtown.
The Local Brewing Industry Report, now in its eighth year, highlights a 3.75% growth in business for small brewers, and increased on-trade listings for their beers.
On average, the producers surveyed (all brewing fewer than 30,000 hl of beer a year), showed a 17% rise in turnover.
