Dundee Brewing Backtracks on Honey Brown
News: March 2010
American brewer Dundee has returned to its roots by repackaging its most popular beer, The Original Honey Brown. The beer was introduced in 1994 and gained a sizeable following, thanks to its unusual (for the time) inclusion of honey. But it lost popularity through a change in packaging design and a hike in price that pitched it firmly in the craft brewers’ section of the liquor store. Now the company, based in Rochester, New York, has admitted its mistakes and reverted to the original packaging. It is also dropping the price in certain markets in a bid to regain customers. |
