Italy’s Brewery of the Year Named

Birrificio del Ducato, based near Parma, has been declared Italy’s Brewery of the Year.
The award, made by Unionbirrai, Italy’s association of consumers and small brewers, was based on performances by beers in the Birra dell’Anno (Beer of the Year) competition, held at the Pianeta Birra trade fair in Rimini.
Ducato’s home town is Roncole Verdi, birthplace of Italy’s most famous composer, Giuseppe Verdi.
