Chimay Gets a Make Over

Belgian Trappist brewery Chimay has re-designed the packaging for its trio of strong ales.

In an effort to make the beers look more modern, the labelling has been brightened and freshened to emphasize the marketing message ‘Entrez dans la lumière’ (‘Enter into the light’), which itself echoes the religious background to the beers.

Chimay produces three beers for commercial sale – Red or Première (7%), Triple or Cinq Cents (also known as White, 8%) and Blue or Grande Réserve (9%). The new bottles go on sale in the UK in March.
