News: February 2010

Lancashire brewer Daniel Thwaites has launched a competition to encourage customers to go walking, following in the footsteps of renowned Lakeland ramber-writer Alfred Wainwright, after whom Thwaites has named one of its beers.

To take part, would-be walkers need to log into the www.worthwalkingfor.com website – which goes live later this month – select a route and follow instructions that will give them the opportunity of identifying the virtual location of a golden bottle of Wainwright Ale and winning the £3,000 top prize.

The competition runs from mid March to mid June.
