The Real Ale Corner and Booths are the beer winners in the latest awards for the off trade.

The Drinks Retailing Awards are organized by trade newspaper Off Licence News and feature categories for wine, spirits and cider retailing, as well as for beer.

The Real Ale Corner, in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, picked up the title of Independent Beer Retailer, fending off competition from Bacchanalia in Cambridge and The Offie in Leicester. Booths, the highly-regarded grocery chain based in North-West England, claimed the honour of Multiple Beer Retailer, with Morrisons and Tesco also finalists.
