Highgate & Davenport has resurrected Davenports’ famous home delivery service.

Davenports, the Birmingham brewery founded in 1739, was famous for its ‘beer at home’ concept, which was started in 1904 by former milkman John Davenport. However, the brewery was taken over by Greenalls in 1986 and closed in 1989. Doorstep deliveries, consequently, came to an end.

Today, the Davenport brand belongs to Walsall's Highgate & Davenport Brewery and home deliveries have recommenced. Orders can be placed at the company’s website, where you can also watch some nostalgic retro TV adverts.
