Evan Evans Takes Gold in Wales True Taste Awards

Brewers have claimed all the prizes in the alcoholic drinks section of this year’s Wales the True Taste Awards.

The annual awards recognize the best in Welsh food and drink produce and are funded by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The gold award in the alcoholic drinks section went to Evan Evans Brewery of Llandeilo, with its Cwrw (the name is Welsh for beer).

Silver was claimed by Hurns Brewing Company of Swansea with Tomos Watkin Cwrw Gaeaf (Winter Ale), and bronze was awarded to Brains of Cardiff for the long-established Brains Dark.
