Thwaites Remembers with Charity Ale
News: November 2009
Liberation, a fund-raising beer from Daniel Thwaites, has been made available once again in time for the annual Remembrance Day commemorations.
The beer, which weighs in at 4.5% ABV in cask form and 4.9% in bottle, and is described as ‘amber in colour with toffee and subtle sweet flavours’, was first released by the Lancashire brewer in 2004, in conjunction with the Royal British Legion.
Donations from sales of the beer have so far topped £100,000, with the money going to support former servicemen and women.
This year's fresh label and pumpclip design is based on the ‘Liberation’ print work of 20th-century Dutch artist MC Escher.
