First Quench, the owner of high-street off-licence chains Threshers, Wine Rack, The Local and Haddows, has entered administration.
Eighty-one jobs have been lost at the company’s Welwyn Garden City head office but all 1,300 stores in the group will remain open while administrators KPMG review the business’s position and discussions take place with possible purchasers.
