Exciting Times at the Bristol Beer Factory
News: October 2009
Bristol Beer Factory's autumn Factoberfest beer festival takes place this year at The Tobacco Factory, Southville, Bristol, on Saturday, 10 October. Around 15 beers, from up to ten local microbreweries, will be on offer, along with live music and other entertainment.
It’s a busy time for the brewery as its new visitor centre is due to open in late October, on the site of the former Ashton Gate Brewery on Bristol’s North Street. The centre is part of a larger complex that will include a small theatre, a cinema, a bakery and possibly cheesemaking.
This constitutes the latest stage in the development of a brewery that was founded in 2003 and has expanded its output by 20 per cent in the past year, to 40 barrels a week.
