Fifteen (16 in 2008) 'unknown' beers are selected by a panel of judges to be finalists in the Sainsbury's Beer Competition. These are then given listings in store, with the ultimate two winners being the top two selling beers after five weeks. The winning beers then receive a six-month national listing with the supermarket.
